The Atlanta-Journal Constitution has printed an article that reveals a wealth of information on exhibit plans for the Georgia Aquarium.
"The Georgia Aquarium will have five huge displays of aquatic life, including a deep-water ocean exhibit, a rare Indo-Pacific coral reef, and a 50-foot fishing trawler for kids and adults to play on. [...] A see-through tunnel beneath the open ocean exhibit will let spectators get right next to the aquatic creatures. A river exhibit tour will feature a tunnel or long walkway with transparent walls and ceilings [...] Five main exhibits, which will use 5 million gallons of water [...] 55,000 fish, with 20 barracuda, 100 black piranhas and 3,000 mullets ..."

Our sources hint at a November opening for the Georgia Aquarium. Though this is unconfirmed, it does keep with the official word that the aquarium will open sometime late in the year.
Visitors of the
official Georgia Aquarium website can now purchase a piece of the Georgia Aquarium itself! For $55, you can buy a fish-shaped plaque and personalize it with two lines of text. Plaques will be displayed on the walls of the Georgia Aquarium. Visit the official website for ordering information!
